Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat, President PFF presented the U-14 Football Championship-2012 trophy to U-14 Islamabad Football Association.Islamabad lifted the National U-14 Football Championship-2012 trophy after edging out Sindh on Wednesday in the final played at Jinnah Stadium, Pakistan Sports Board in Islamabad.According to the press release issued here by Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), the final was really a treat to watch between two top teams of the event, the match started in a very positive manner and both the team’s players started to attack each other’s goal post right from the beginning.The match was ended 0-0 draw in stipulated time. The match went in to penalty shoot-out, Islamabad boys started to take the penalties first and they missed two kicks and converted three goals through Luqman (DF), Hassam (FW) and Rai Hammad (FW) while Sindh missed three kicked and only converted one goal through Junaid (FW) and Islamabad player converted the plenty for the utter jubilation of their team and a large crowd who were gathered their to witness the final.Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat, President PFF was the chief guest of the final, accompanied by Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi, General Secretary, PFF. Winner trophy along with Rs. 75, 000/- was awarded to Islamabd by the chief guest, runner up trophy and Rs. 50, 000/- were given to Sindh. Punjab got third position trophy and Rs. 25, 000/-. Shah Zaib of Sindh snatched best player title with cash award of Rs. 10, 000/-, while Rs. 10, 000/- were awarded to Muneer Munna of Sindh for his nomination as highest goal scorer. Karachi Zone A was awarded Fair Play trophy and cash prize of Rs. 15. 000/-Earlier for third position was played between Punjab and Karachi Zone B was won by the Punjab team through Muhammad Yasir (FW) at 61 minutes and captured the Third Position in National U-14 Football Championship.While talking to the media, President PFF said that the focus of this championship is to create a positive and enjoyable life experience for children through this event and in the process raise the standard of overall performance and support the development of each individual player within the game of football.It is pertinent to mention here that aim of this championship is to select/prepare the National-14 football team for AFC U-14 Football Festival-2012 to be held from 3rd April to 14th April, 2012 in Jinnah Stadium Islamabad.
