Prince Ali: AFC partnership with Streetfootballworld positive indicator for Social Responsibility in Asia


HRH Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, FIFA Vice President- Asia, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC)’s Social Responsibility Committee held today the 3rd Committee Meeting in Abu Dhabi, in conjunction with the AFC Dream Asia Cerebral Palsy Tournament.

The committee agreed to collaborate with 'streetfootballworld' to develop a ten year strategic plan for AFC's Social Responsibility and develop strategic partnerships with organisations around the world. The committee recommended for SRD to attend an NGO consultation meeting in Sydney from 20-22 April.

"I have confidence that the CSR department will implement the ten year CSR strategy we discussed and approved today. AFC will certainly set a model in social responsibility in football as we move forward with this strategy." Prince Ali noted.

"We are also proud to partner with streetworld football given their experience in promoting and advancing social development through football," added Prince Ali.

During his visit, Prince Ali met today with Dr. Mohammed Al Falahi, Secretary General of the UAE Red Crescent authority and his team to discuss means of cooperation and their involvement in Social Responsibility activities in football. 

Prince Ali also attended the match between Jordan and Korea in the AFC Dream Asia Cerebral Palsy Tournament at the Military Physical Education Center Stadium.
