Ghana names squad for Sudan clash

Ghana’s Black Stars have named a 20-man squad to face Sudan on October 10 in their Orange CAN 2012 qualifier.
Assistant coach Kwesi Appiah will be in charge of the Group ‘I’ day two clash slated for the Ohene Djan Stadium.The surprise inclusions are uncapped duo, left-back Seth Owusu of local side Kessben FC and Emmanuel Clottey of Berekum Chelsea, also in the Ghana premier division.
Clottey, top scorer on the local scene three seasons ago, bounced back this season after serving a season’s suspension for improper registration.
Captain John Mensah has been called up after missing the opener against Swaziland earlier this month due to injury.
The claash will be the second meeting between the two sides in less than two years after the Black Stars beat the Desert hawks 2-0 at the same venue durinmg the qualifiers for the 2010 CAN and World Cup.
Congo and Swaziland will clash in the other Group I encounter in Brazzavile.
