Following the AFC Champions League semi-final first leg between Korea Republic’s Suwon Samsung Bluewings and Qatar’s Al Sadd on October 19, 2011, the following players and officials have to serve match suspensions in accordance with Article 69 par (d) (e) and (f) of the AFC Champions League Regulations 2011.
- Suwon Samsung Bluewings player Ristikj Stevica and Coach Ko Jong Su are suspended and ineligible to participate in the next match against Al Sadd on October 26.
- Al Sadd players Keita Abdul Kader and Mamadou Hamidou Niang and goalkeeper coach Suhail Saber Ali are suspended and thus ineligible to participate in the next match against Suwon Samsung Bluewings on October 26.
AFC has also opened disciplinary proceedings against the said players and officials from Suwon Samsung Bluewings and Al Sadd, which will be referred to the AFC Disciplinary Commitee for deliberation.
The return leg of the semi-final will take place at the Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium on October 26, 2011, in Doha, Qatar.
